Sunburn just got Bluer, Greener & Cleaner, THANKS TO U!

LEAVE NO TRACE – an innovative initiative by United to make Sunburn cleaner with your support. We have modified our environment so radically that we must now modify ourselves to exist in this new environment. Environment issues are the call for the day and it is threatening our very existence.

Leave No Trace is about tracing your steps to help you do your bit for the environment. Each rupee you donate will help in making Sunburn and Goa cleaner. Our efforts are to initiate the love for the environment through your support.

Mass issues like Global warming and pollution are taking a toll on our planet’s ability to sustain. Each act by us, right from littering around to creating nuclear weapons is a self dug grave and ironically the power to undo it all lies in our hands. Through United we hope to bring closer all those who live and live to make it better each day. Leave No Trace tries to imbibe in each one of us that our own actions count for a better tomorrow and we need to begin now!

The Sunburn crowd will also be paying their respects to the “Leave No Trace” campaign as the entire lighting of the Sunburn event will be switched off for five minutes, with the crowds waving neon sticks to pledge their support for energy conversation. There will be an electric tree at the Sunburn venue, where people can interactively participate in the campaign, leaving messages and tips on how to make “Leave no Trace” part of your daily lives. The famous flea markets at Sunburn will also be part of the campaign with the “Leave No Trace Library”, where people can donate and borrow books, thus promoting reusing of paper Let’s start Leaving No Traces with each step we take this year at Sunburn. Join hands to sustain our only planet. This year at Sunburn we will Recycle, Reuse and Restore. Contribute in your own small way and help make a difference. Let’s leave Goa with a green smile.

United at Umang 2011

United partnered with Umang, N.M college festival, for a patriotic cause called “Power of India”. The CSR event included an inspiring speech on the true power of brand India by Mr. Shailendera Singh, the managing trustee of United Welfare Trust and the Joint Managing Director of Percept Limited. Javed Jaffrey, a well-known actor and comedian performed a stand up act. United presented Sunburn, Asia’s largest music festival, for its enthusiastic fans at Umang.

United with Malhar against anti corruption

United began its journey for creating awareness on social concerns through media and communication in collaboration with Malhar, St Xaviers college festival. It was an initiative led by team united along with the students of St. Xavier’s college against corruption.. The event was planned with an aim to promote the power of brand India. Anshan was a constructive social criticism in a hilarious manner on corruption.

United at schools for underprivileged children

United organized art and craft workshops for underprivileged kids with the support of Malhar volunteers. The workshops conducted at various schools were designed to make the day special for these kids. United believes that these workshops would go a long way to ensure better future for these under-privileged children and inculcate creative thinking. Every event successfully engaged the kids bringing out their enthusiastic response.

The United super car show for the underprivileged kids

United joined forces with Parx Super Car Show 2009 to organize an event for underprivileged children. The show was paraded with super cars like Ferraris, Lamborghinis, BMW, Mercedes, Porsches, Maseratis, Bentleys and Rolls Royce. The kids from Sanskar Balmandir were given an opportunity to sit in these cars and feel the excitement of being an integral part of this event. By the end of this event the kids were included in an art and craft workshop to paint a tale of their experience. Free meals were provided at the end of the show.
